Q: What time does the park open?
A: Gates will open at 7:00am Saturday July 1st
Q: What time does the park close?
A: Our stage and vendors will shut down no later than 11:00pm. The park will be cleared and closed by 12:00am
Q: Will there be seating available?
A: Chairs will be provided during the concert for “Reserved Seating” ticket holders. All others may bring your own blanket or lawn chair to sit on in general admission sections. Please note the the “Front Rail” section is standing room only and sitting in this section will not be allowed during the concert.
Q: Can I bring my own beverage?
A: Outside beverages are strictly prohibited. Our OLCC permit and our rental agreement with The City only allow for alcohol consumption within a closely monitored area. Allowing outside beverages into the park would jeopardize our liquor license and put the festival at risk of paying some very substantial fines. Public safety is our highest concern. It would be irresponsible for us to allow unmonitored alcohol consumption in this setting. The only effective way to ensure that a safe, family friendly environment is maintained is for us to completely disallow any outside beverages. We will be providing free water filling stations as well as allowing empty water bottles to enter the park.
Q: Will there be access to drinking water?
A: Yes! We have numerous free potable water stations set up in addition to water bottles for sale at nearly all of our vendors.
Q: Can I bring my own food?
A: We cannot allow outside food both for liability reasons and contractual obligations to our festival food vendors.
Q: What else is prohibited?
A: We ask that you do not bring weapons of any kind, drugs of any kind, fireworks of any kind (including pop-its), high-back lounger style chairs or any other objects that might obstruct the view of others, e-cigarettes or any type of ‘vape’ devices, or pets of any kind. Service Animals will be allowed as required by ADA, however please be mindful that loud music and fireworks can trigger dangerous and unpredictable behavior in even the most highly trained animal and pose a risk to public safety. Your service animal must be on a leash at all times and shall not be permitted to approach other guests. We ask that you take necessary precautions to ensure the safety of you and your service animal, as well as other guests and event staff. Cigarette Smoking is permitted in designated smoking areas only. Failure to comply with these policies may result in removal from the event at the discretion on festival management.
Q: Is there a charge foradmission?
A: We will be asking for a suggested donation of $2 per person for all daytime activities between 7:00am and 2:00pm, however it is our policy that nobody will be turned away if they cannot afford to or choose not to make a donation at the gate for our daytime activities. The evening concert is a closed, ticketed event open only to ticket holders. You must have your ticket with you to gain entry to the park.
Q: Do I have to pay for my child to enter the Concert?
A: Children ages 10 and under will be admitted for free. All others will need their own ticket.

Downtown The Dalles has several large parking lots within a few blocks distance to the Festival Park Entrance as well as ample street parking available. We strongly encourage walking or carpooling. Union Street will be closed to through traffic from 2nd & Union Street all the way out to 1st & Bargeway Road.

A: Fireworks Barge will be anchored between the Marina and the new cruise ship dock. The barge will not be moved into position until just before the show.
